New Serial Number Labels

14_46_33_577_label1
Starting February 1,2024 we have enhanced our standard B&C production “Batch Numbers” by adding a four-digit, progressive serial number at the end of each batch number. We will now refer to these codes as “Serial Numbers”, and use them throughout our product range. The use of these individual serial numbers will enable us to directly access information about the QC result and final customer of each product that we produce. This will allow us to provide fast and accurate feedback with regards to warranty coverage.

The significant packaging changes are:
- The previously used holographic B&C batch code labels are now replaced with a plain white label with a “Serial Number”.
- A readable bar code containing the serial number details is located on each label, directly above the printed serial number.
- The product model number labels will not change. As before, a second label with the model number or customer model number will be added to each product.
- In the case of standard catalogue items where a customer cross reference is not provided, the label will also include a B&C logo.
- If an item is purchased in cartons with two or more boxes inside a master carton (smaller items), a second serial number label will be placed on each internal box, while an item code label will be added to the outer master carton.
- In the case of custom printed labels where there is available space, the model number may be added to the serial number and bar code on a single label. Otherwise, as separate serial number and bar code label will be added to the product.

As we make this transition, some customers may receive shipments with a mix of old batch numbers and new serial numbers. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
